Whenever I see Deng – yes, that is her name, like the sound a door bell makes, I can't help but think: How many cups of coffee did it take to wake this girl up?  Have a simple chat with her and you'll know what I mean.  She will compress a week’s amount of work related afterthoughts into 10 seconds of speedy conversation, and you will realize how much free time you actually have.  And yet she’s perpetually game for anything.  Jump in a bus and let it take you anywhere, literally, and you’d probably find Deng there waiting for you when you get off.  She has got so much energy it diffuses into other people, and there is still too much so it diffuses again to the 3rd degree.  I can’t help but turn to look at Deng whenever someone calls her name, feeling a sense of anticipation, like a friend coming over, knocking at your door and ringing the bell.
